If I put through a request to port my number but I need it done after a certain date can I request this?
No, we cannot request an exact date for a number to be ported on or for the porting to take place after a certain date. It takes 7 to 21 days for the porting to complete after the request has been made.
If you would like the porting to commence after a certain date you would need to put through the porting request on that date.
Porting Terms and Conditions:
DO NOT CANCEL service with current provider before the number port is 100% complete, and confirmation has been provided from talkit.ca that the port is complete. Canceling service with current provider before the number port is 100% complete and confirmed will result in loss of number, as inactive numbers cannot be ported. THIS IS A NON-REFUNDABLE REQUEST.
I agree that I will be charged a $30.00 (thirty dollar) non-refundable porting fee.
I agree that my account with my existing phone supplier is active and in good standing.
I agree that I am the owner of the account which the phone number that I wish to port resides in.
I agree that I will not cancel my existing account before my port is 100% complete as per notification from talkit.ca
