The reason that you need to pay a replacement fee for your defective device if it is over one year old is because, your hardware and service are sold and priced separately. If we were to cover hardware replacements we would need to change our pricing model for devices and services. Services would be more expensive. We try our best to save people money which is why we have implemented the Device Replacement Policy so that you do not incur the full cost of a new device.
