I have Eastlink internet and I cannot make or receive calls, I have a Surfboard SBG6580 modem and separate router.
If you have Eastlink internet and a Surfboard SBG6580 modem and separate router, you must do the following,
1. Connect the Talkit device to the router not to the Surfboard SBG6580 modem.
2. Then unplug only the power from the Surfboard SBG6580 modem for 20 seconds and plug it back in
3. Wait 3 to 5 minutes for the Surfboard SBG6580 modem to fully boot up
4. Then unplug only the power from the router for 20 seconds and plug it back in
5. Wait 3 to 5 minutes for the Surfboard SBG6580 modem to fully boot up
6. Then unplug only the power from the Talkit device for 20 seconds and plug it back in
7. Wait 3 to 5 minutes for the Surfboard SBG6580 modem to fully boot up
After following those steps it should be working for you.
